Duke Medicine And Other Triangle Hospitals Commit To Be Tobacco-Free Campuses By July 4, 2007

On Oct. 3, Triangle hospitals took a big step to keep the health of patients, employees and visitors from going up in smoke: In a joint statement, Duke Medicine, UNC Health Care, Rex and WakeMed all declared their intentions to make their campuses 100 percent tobacco free by July 4, 2007.
