Graduates Challenged to Continue to Care

Graduation is a time when the past and future come together. Future physicians take the Hippocratic Oath, written some 2,400 years ago. Students receiving advanced degrees wear academic hoods (with borders of different colors, depending on their degrees) modeled after medieval religious dress. Musicians play music written decades before.

But despite the trappings of the past, the future was on the minds of the more than 3,800 graduates...
