Duke Health Raleigh Hospital was named the first hospital in the state to receive the Hallmarks of Healthy Workplace designation by the North Carolina Nurses Association Professional Practice Advocacy Coalition.
The nursing recognition is given to facilities that have developed healthy workplaces. The three-month application process included an on-site tour of the facility and a demonstration of the core criteria including support of nursing professional development, system support for nurses to provide quality service, and integration of nursing into operations and governance.
“DHRH is honored to be the first hospital recipient of this recognition and extremely proud of our nursing program. Thank you to everyone involved in the Hallmark Award application process and involved in making our nursing program such a successful one,” said Rosemary Brown, chief nursing officer of the hospital.
